(1) If the Publisher Member makes a VOR open access on its website, the agency will only link in a prominent manner to the VOR on the Publisher Member website.
(2) If the Publisher Member makes an AM open access on its website, the agency will link in a prominent manner to the AM on the Publisher Member website.
(3) If the Publisher Member does not make a VOR open access on its website, but does make an AM open access on its website the agency will link in a prominent manner to the AM on the Publisher Member website for those Publisher Members that prompt authors to submit AMs to the agency.
(4) The agency has option to create its own dark archive, subject to Section 6 (publisher member agreement) trigger events and distribution under Publisher Member’s Re-Use License.
(5) The agreement date is the month in which an agency signed an agreement with CHORUS. This date is not to be confused with any Agency Plan dates.
(6) CSIRO does not currently have an Open Access policy.
(7) Policy states “publishers’ copyright transfer agreements and journal publication agreements may include language about withholding any distribution of the manuscript for a period of time (e.g., a 12-month embargo period)”
General publisher obligations:
A. Publisher Members must facilitate the identification of articles published on or after the Awards Date reporting on research funded by Participating Funders; see section 3 of the Publisher Implementation Guide.
B. Publisher Members must provide public access to identified articles (AM or VOR) reporting on research funded by Participating Funders after an embargo of their choosing.
