ROR – Parent, Child, and Other Relationships

ROR (Research Organization Registry) is one of the most important PIDs to identify organizations. ROR clarifies how it includes parent-child relationships!

ROR logoOrganizations such as funders and universities can now use RORs to identify directorates, child agencies (e.g., NIST and NOAA are agencies within the US Department of Commerce), and institutes.

ROR is publicizing its ROR’s hierarchical capabilities more widely! They have expanded the information on the ROR website and have just published this explanatory blog post: https://ror.org/blog/2023-02-27-parents-children-and-other-relationships-in-ror/

We look forward to integrating ROR more deeply into CHORUS Services in the near future.
