ChemRxiv and TechRxiv take up CHORUS Preprint Dashboard and Reporting Service

CHORUS is pleased to announce that both ChemRxiv and TechRxiv have signed with CHORUS for the CHORUS Preprint Dashboard and Reporting Service.

The CHORUS Preprint Dashboard and Reporting Service provides a means to connect preprints to funders and datasets as well as information related to public accessibility and other key metadata. The dashboards provide non-ambiguous links between the preprint and published research, researchers, and their funding. The preprint dashboard will aid in discoverability of preprints associated with funded research – providing insight into where research is first being shared.

The CHORUS Preprint Dashboard and Reporting Service was developed through successful pilot projects with ChemRxiv and TechRxiv over the past year.

Howard Ratner, Executive Director of CHORUS, noted: “Developing a preprint dashboard service is a natural extension of our services. Expanding to include coverage of preprints allows for a broader and more complete view of research funding.”

Dawn Melley, IEEE’s Senior Director, Publishing Operations, noted “Having the CHORUS Preprint Dashboard and Reporting Service ingest information from the TechRxiv preprint server will help us more clearly connect the steps in the life cycle of research.”

Ben Mudrak, Senior Product Manager, ChemRxiv, noted “ChemRxiv is pleased to continue our partnership with CHORUS. A Preprint Dashboard will demonstrate the value of preprints to researchers and administrators at funding agencies, helping preprints be recognized as an important part of the research publishing cycle.”
