Portland Press join CHORUS to strengthen trusted research infrastructure and open research collaboration

Membership brings together two organizations committed to improving research discoverability, interoperability, and long-term stewardship across the global scholarly communications ecosystem.

NEW YORK, NY, July, 29, 2026: CHORUS and Portland Press, the publishing arm of the Biochemical Society, today announced that Portland Press has joined CHORUS as its newest member, reinforcing a shared commitment to advancing trusted research infrastructure through collaboration, open standards, and practical solutions that benefit the global research community.

As an independent society publisher, Portland Press has a long-standing mission to support researchers and advance molecular biosciences through high-quality scholarly publishing. By joining CHORUS, Portland Press becomes part of a growing international community of publishers, funders, institutions, and service providers working together to improve research discoverability, interoperability, compliance, and the long-term stewardship of the scholarly record.

Strengthening connections across research
