CSIRO, a nationally funded Australian research organization, wished to show how its resources and facilities are used by scientists from Australia across the globe in order to illustrate its impact and warrant national investment. CHORUS and CSIRO agreed to collaborate in a project to establish protocols for identifying research resources and facilities in the published research outputs, develop a prototype workflow with a select number of publishers to pilot with two CSIRO facilities, and to potentially expand to its other facilities at a later date. This report outlines the activity of the joint Working Group and its achievements and the workflow developed.
