Registration is now open for the next CHORUS Forum: ARE WE READY FOR DATA CITATION METRICS? The free online meeting will take place on October 28, 2021 @ 11 AM – 1 PM EDT

Scholarly data has become one of the most important components of Open Science, and governments and funders are requiring that researchers deposit their data in repositories and supply supporting metadata. Ensuring proper credit is the best way to motivate researchers to do the extra work. Is the scholarly ecosystem ready to take on data citation metrics? 

The first half of this CHORUS Forum will explore the issues from the perspectives of researchers, research officers, librarians, and funders. The second hour will focus on the infrastructure efforts, community advocacy and adoption, and the next steps needed to move toward a solution.
