Howard Ratner, who is well-known in scholarly publishing for his leadership work in technical services and standards, has joined CHORUS as Director of Development in its start-up phase to lead the proof of concept — a conceptual design framework — and pilot stages for all stakeholders. Most recently CTO and Executive Vice President, Nature Publishing Group, he was instrumental in the founding of such collaborative ventures as CrossRef and CLOCKSS; additionally, he co-founded and served as chair of ORCID
